Yes. Consultations are required for all restorative skin and hair treatments and are recommended for new clients considering any service.
This allows us to assess suitability, answer questions, and ensure treatments are approached with care and realistic expectations. -
All restorative skin and hair treatments begin with an initial video consultation. This allows us to discuss your concerns, review the area virtually, answer any questions, and determine whether you may be a suitable candidate before proceeding further.
If appropriate, an in-studio consultation will then be arranged for a closer assessment, treatment planning, patch testing (if required), and to ensure your treatment is approached with care, suitability, and realistic expectations.
Video consultations also help make the process feel more comfortable and convenient for clients travelling from outside the area.
-
Yes — consultations are currently offered as a complimentary part of your journey with Grace & Glow.
This time is dedicated to understanding your goals and providing honest, personalised guidance without pressure or obligation. -
Your consultation is a relaxed, one-on-one appointment where we’ll discuss your concerns, assess the treatment area, and recommend a tailored treatment plan if appropriate.
You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity before proceeding. -
As consultation appointments are reserved specifically for you, we kindly ask that you provide notice if you’re unable to attend.
Missed consultations or late cancellations may impact future booking availability. -
Patch testing is strongly recommended for all restorative skin and hair treatments and for any complementary beauty services that involve tint or pigment. This is especially important for clients with sensitive skin, allergies, or a history of skin reactions.
Where appropriate, patch testing will be discussed during your consultation to help ensure treatments are approached with care, suitability, and transparency.
If a patch test is advised, clients will be provided with a patch test waiver form, allowing them to make an informed decision to proceed with or decline patch testing. This ensures all treatments are carried out ethically, with understanding and consent, and that the final decision remains with the client.

restorative skin treatments
Inkless Skin Revision & Skin Camouflage-
Restorative skin treatments are advanced techniques designed to soften, rebalance, and reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. At Grace & Glow, these treatments focus on working with the skin — supporting healing, harmony, and confidence rather than aiming for perfection.
Our restorative skin services include inkless skin revision and skin camouflage, which may be used individually or together depending on your skin and goals.
-
Inkless skin revision works without pigment, using micro-needling techniques combined with medical-grade serums to stimulate collagen production, improve texture, and encourage the skin’s natural repair process over time.
Skin camouflage uses carefully colour-matched pigments to reduce contrast and visually blend scars or stretch marks into the surrounding skin.
The most appropriate approach — or combination — is always determined during consultation.
-
Timing is an essential part of achieving safe, natural-looking results.
Inkless Skin Revision
Stretch marks must be at least 3 months old
Scars must be at least 6 months old
Inkless revision is often the first step, working with the skin’s natural healing response to restore texture and balance.
Skin Camouflage (Pigment)
Scars and stretch marks must be at least 12 months old
Pigment camouflage is only considered after inkless revision has completed its work, and when further improvement is still desired
Pigment is approached as a refined finishing option, not a first response.
-
Grace & Glow uses professional-grade products developed specifically for advanced scar and stretch mark restoration. Depending on your treatment plan, this may include medical-grade serums used during inkless skin revision, or precisely matched pigments used for skin camouflage.
All products are selected for their skin compatibility, performance, and ability to support natural-looking results.
-
Yes. The products used are designed for professional use within the restorative skin industry and are chosen for their quality, safety, and effectiveness.
As with any skin treatment, individual responses can vary. This is why consultations, suitability assessments, and patch testing (where advised) are an important part of the process.
-
Skin camouflage pigments are considered semi-permanent. They are designed to soften gradually over time as the skin naturally changes, allowing flexibility for future touch-ups or adjustments rather than creating a permanent, unchanging result.
Inkless skin revision does not involve pigment.
-
For pigment camouflage treatments, skin tone is carefully assessed and pigments are custom blended to reflect your natural undertones and depth. This ensures results that are subtle, balanced, and as undetectable as possible.
Inkless treatments do not require colour matching.
-
Many types of surgical scars, injury scars, and stretch marks may be suitable for treatment once fully healed. Each area is assessed individually during consultation, as no two scars — or bodies — respond the same way.
Surgical scars, injury scars, breast uplift scars, tummy tuck scars, transition scars, self-harm scars, and stretch marks can all be effectively treated using Inkless and Pigment Camouflage techniques. In some cases, areas of hypopigmentation can also be improved.
Vitiligo may be treated as well; however, due to the nature of the condition, results vary with approximately a 50/50 success rate. The area must have been dormant (stable, with no spreading or new patches) for at least five years before treatment can be considered.
Acne scars are best treated using Inkless treatments only.
-
Not everyone is a suitable candidate for restorative skin treatments. Factors such as skin condition, medical history, medications, scar type, and healing stage all influence suitability.
This is why a consultation is essential. Your skin will be assessed carefully, and if treatment is not appropriate, this will be discussed honestly and with care. Your safety and wellbeing always come first.
Clients who are currently using Accutane, Ro-accutane, Renova, Steroids, Retin-A or Cortisone-based medicationsmust allow a minimum of 9–12 months after completing their course before undergoing any treatments at Grace & Glow.
This ensures the skin has fully recovered and is ready to respond safely and effectively. For your safety and wellbeing, we are unable to treat under-eye dark circles, individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, minors under the age of 18, or those with blood disorders, Herpes Simplex Virus, or HIV.
If you are under medical management for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, blood thinning medication use, or a compromised immune system, treatment may still be possible with written clearance from your healthcare provider.
-
Certain skin concerns such as birthmarks, keloid scars, melasma, spider veins, varicose veins, and hyperpigmentation are best assessed and treated by a Dermatologist or Medical Professional. These conditions often respond more effectively to laser or advanced clinical treatments tailored to the individual.
-
Most clients require a series of treatments to achieve optimal results. The number of sessions depends on the area treated, the technique used, and how your skin responds over time.
A personalised treatment plan is created following consultation.
-
Treatment times vary depending on the area being treated and the technique used. Most restorative skin appointments take between 1–2 hours, including consultation, preparation, and treatment time.
Treatments are typically limited to 60–90 minutes. This helps prevent tattoo fatigue, ensuring the skin remains responsive and allowing your specialist to maintain the highest level of precision, safety, and quality throughout your session.
Your appointment duration will be confirmed during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
-
Results vary depending on the method used, skin type, lifestyle factors, and aftercare.
Inkless Revison
Inkless skin revision results develop gradually and may continue improving over time
Results can be long-lasting as collagen remodelling occurs
May require maintenance treatments every 1-2 years for optimal results
More effective for newer, reddish stretch marks
Pigment Camouflage
Skin camouflage provides longer-term visual blending, with maintenance treatments recommended as your skin naturally changes
Immediate visual improvement after initial healing
Final results visible after 2-3 sessions
Results typically last 1-5 years depending on skin type, aftercare and lifestyle
May require periodic touch-ups to maintain optimal appearance
Particularly effective for mature, white/silver stretch marks
The longevity varies depending on factors such as skin type, sun exposure, and the area of the body being treated
-
Scar tissue responds differently to sun exposure than healthy skin, which is why sun protection is essential.
Inkless revision allows the skin to continue responding naturally over time, while pigment camouflage is designed to blend with your natural tone and maintain balance as your skin colour changes.
Consistent Nue Conceal SPF 50+ use is strongly recommended to protect skin health and prolong results.
-
Tanning and fake tanning are strictly prohibited for 30 days post-treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Direct sun exposure or tanning beds should be avoided for 6 weeks after treatment. If the area is still not fully healed after 20-30 days, continued sun avoidance is necessary.
Please consult with your Artist before tanning to ensure the area is healed. -
Yes. The aim of all restorative skin treatments at Grace & Glow is soft, natural-looking improvement — never obvious coverage or artificial results.
Treatments are designed to honour your skin, not erase your story.
-
We do not recommend using numbing cream before your treatments, as it may interfere with pigment insertion and increase pain sensitivity.
Additionally, we advise female clients to schedule sessions around their monthly cycle to avoid heightened pain sensitivity. -

Yes. Grace & Glow offers a simplified, treatment-specific aftercare range to support optimal healing and results. Each restorative skin treatment is paired with one matching aftercare gel, designed to work in harmony with the serum used during your treatment.
NUE Regen Serum → NUE Regen Aftercare Gel
NUE Bright Serum → NUE Bright Aftercare Gel
This streamlined approach means fewer steps, better compatibility with active ingredients, and an aftercare routine that’s easy to follow and gentle on the skin.
Your aftercare guidance will be explained clearly during your appointment. In general, this includes keeping the area clean, applying a thin layer of the recommended aftercare gel as directed, avoiding heavy oils, swimming, tanning, or picking while healing, and introducing Nue Conceal SPF 50+ protection once the skin has closed.
Personalised aftercare instructions are always provided to support your individual healing journey.
-
There is little to no downtime following treatment, and most clients feel comfortable returning to their usual activities shortly after their session. Mild tenderness, swelling, or redness may occur as the skin begins its natural renewal process — this is completely normal and typically settles over the days that follow.
As healing progresses, the treated area will move through gentle stages of recovery, with tone and texture continuing to soften and rebalance over time. Detailed aftercare guidance is provided immediately after your appointment to support healing and help achieve the most refined results.
On average, full healing occurs within 4–6 weeks, though this can vary depending on individual factors such as age, hormones, lifestyle, sun exposure, and overall skin health. Those prone to hyperpigmentation may experience a slightly longer healing period — patience and proper aftercare are essential for the best possible outcome.
-
Patch testing is recommended but not mandatory for restorative skin treatments, particularly when pigment camouflage is being considered.
A patch test helps check for any potential skin sensitivity or allergic response and supports accurate colour selection. Patch testing can be carried out at least 48 hours prior to treatment and will be discussed during consultation if appropriate.
If a patch test is recommended, a patch test waiver form will be provided, allowing you to make an informed decision to proceed with or decline patch testing.
-
For your safety and peace of mind, restorative skin treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.
We kindly recommend waiting until you have finished breastfeeding before commencing treatment to allow your body and hormones time to fully regulate and support optimal healing results.
-
Restorative skin treatments are not suitable for everyone, and your safety is always our priority. Certain skin conditions, medical histories, medications, or stages of healing may mean that treatment is not appropriate at this time.
This is why a thorough consultation is essential. During your consultation, we’ll carefully assess your skin, discuss your health history, and determine whether treatment is suitable or whether it’s best to delay, adapt, or explore alternative options.
If restorative skin treatment is not recommended for you, this will be communicated honestly and with care. No treatment is ever rushed or performed without clear suitability and informed consent.
Here's an expanded list of conditions and scenarios where performing a restorative skin treatment might not be advisable:
Age Restrictions: Individuals under 18 years of age should not undergo the procedure due to their still developing skin and legal consent issues.
High Blood Pressure: While not an absolute contraindication, extra caution is required due to potential bleeding and healing issues.
Blood Thinners: Clients on blood thinning medication may experience excessive bleeding during the procedure, affecting the healing process.
Diabetes: Individuals with diabetes may face slow healing and an increased risk of infection. Strict control over their blood sugar levels is necessary before considering such procedures.
Pregnant or Lactating Women: Due to hormonal fluctuations and the risk of stress on the body, it is advisable to postpone the procedure until after pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Skin Disorders: Conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the area to be tattooed can lead to unpredictable results and increased risk of complications.
Prone to Keloid Scarring: Those with a history of keloid formation should avoid the procedure, as the tattooing process could trigger more keloids.
Compromised Immune System: Individuals with weakened immune systems, whether due to conditions like HIV/AIDS or treatments like chemotherapy, are at a higher risk of infection.
Spider Veins or Birthmarks: Tattooing over these areas can lead to unsatisfactory aesthetic outcomes or exacerbate the appearance of the existing condition.
Recent Tanning: Skin that has been recently tanned (either by sun exposure or artificial tanning methods) can be more sensitive and prone to damage.
Additional considerations include:
Active Skin Infections: Any active skin infection, such as herpes simplex, bacterial infections, or fungal infections, near the area to be tattooed can spread or worsen.
History of Allergic Reactions to Tattoo Pigments: Clients with known allergies to specific pigments or tattoo ink components should avoid the procedure or undergo patch testing.
Use of Certain Acne Medications: Individuals using Isotretinoin (Accutane) or similar medications should wait until their treatment course is complete and their skin has normalised, typically several months, to reduce the risk of poor healing and scarring.

Suitability is always assessed during consultation to ensure treatment is appropriate for your individual needs.
-
Not everyone is a suitable candidate. Certain medical conditions, medications, or advanced patterns of hair loss may limit results or mean treatment is not recommended at this time.
A consultation is essential to assess suitability and set realistic expectations before proceeding.
-
Hair restoration works by stimulating the scalp using specialised techniques combined with the Nue Strand serum. This helps improve blood flow, awaken dormant follicles, and support the scalp’s natural regenerative processes.
Results are gradual and develop over time with consistency and proper aftercare.
-
Hair restoration is a progressive process. Most clients require a series of treatments, followed by maintenance sessions as needed. Your personalised treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation based on your scalp assessment and goals.
-
Appointments typically take 60–90 minutes, depending on the treatment area and your individual plan.
-
Improvements in scalp health may be noticed within a few weeks, while visible changes in hair density or growth typically develop over several months. Results vary depending on individual factors and the underlying cause of hair thinning.
-
Results depend on lifestyle factors, underlying causes of hair loss, and ongoing scalp care. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to support long-term results.
-
Downtime is minimal. Mild redness or sensitivity on the scalp may occur and usually settles within 24–48 hours. Full aftercare guidance is provided to support healing and results.
-
Patch testing may be recommended for clients with sensitive skin or a history of reactions. This will be discussed during your consultation if appropriate.
-
As with any cosmetic procedure, potential responses may include:
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or minor pinpoint bleeding at the treated area
Mild bruising or irritation
Uneven pigment absorption, which may require additional sessions
Allergic reaction to the pigment or serum
Infection if aftercare instructions are not properly followed
No guarantee of hair growth or specific results as every ‘body’ responds differently
-
Yes. Hair restoration treatments at Grace & Glow are designed to support natural, gradual improvement in hair density and scalp health — never sudden or artificial-looking changes.
-
Following your Nue Strand hair restoration treatment, gentle aftercare is essential to allow the scalp to absorb the serum and begin its natural renewal process.
First 24–72 Hours
For the first 24 hours, keep the scalp completely undisturbed — avoid touching, scratching, or washing the area. To allow the serum to fully absorb and work effectively, all hair products (including shampoo, oils, sprays, and styling products) should be avoided for the first 72 hours.
After 72 hours, you may gently cleanse the scalp using a mild baby shampoo for at least the following week.
Activity & Lifestyle Care (First 5–7 Days)
During the first week, avoid intense exercise, swimming, saunas, or activities that cause excessive sweating. These can interfere with the healing process and serum absorption.
Protecting the scalp from the sun is also important. If spending time outdoors, wear a hat or apply Nue Conceal SPF 50+ as recommended.
What to Expect
Mild redness or sensitivity is normal and usually settles within 24–48 hours. This is part of the scalp’s natural response to treatment.
If you experience ongoing discomfort, swelling, or anything that doesn’t feel quite right, please contact the studio so we can support you through your healing process.
-
Active scalp infections (bacterial, fungal, or viral - e.g., tinea capitis, folliculitis, impetigo)
Severe seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, or eczema on the scalp
Open wounds, cuts, or abrasions on the scalp
Active acne or cysts on the treatment area
Keloid or hypertrophic scarring tendency
Clients currently on or recently discontinued blood thinners
Autoimmune scalp conditions (e.g., lupus, alopecia areata, lichen planopilaris)
Uncontrolled diabetes (delayed wound healing)
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
